Tonja McMillan has been a stylist for a total of 9 years. Before settling down in Baton Rouge she had the opportunity to assist and be trained by some of the best stylist in the industry. It is a combination of her extensive training in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Florida, Alabama, Kansas City, and here in Louisiana, along with her passion for the industry that has resulted in her being one of the most requested stylist in Baton Rouge. An advocate for natural hair textures versus relaxers, she has created a demand that is truly unbelievable. Tonja offers a wide range of services, from hair extensions, to makeup applications, from flatirons to highlights. Her versatility and skill recently landed her the opportunity to work with hair and makeup on the set of a movie being filmed here. While in college earning a B.S. in business management, she studied theater costume and makeup design, which helped to prepare her for the job, as well as the many fashion shows and photo shoots she has worked on. One of her favorite things to do is bridal parties and formal hair. Tonja says, "I love doing the entire wedding party because I can create a theme or a look of continuity." While brides are always special, Tonja tries to make every client feel as though it is their day. She says, "I want each and every one of my clients to feel special."

Jackie is our first apprentice on board here at On the Boulevard and has been a growing success since day one. She is truly a natural hair stylist. Her enrollment is with the CFW Local 496 Barber Board an direct training under Tonja McMillian (OTB Stylist). Her interests are in healthy hair extensions. She has been an since August 1st, 2008 and has a clientele that she says she can only thank god for. "The most important part of one's make up is hair; I honestly feel if it isn't right your entire profile is off balance." She has a bachelors degree in science which is very important to the hair industry. She has been practicing and studying the Sew In technique since Fall 2003, which is a type of extension that she is very comfortable with. David is a licensed massage therapist with over three years experience working in Louisiana and Texas. He holds licenses with both the Louisiana State Board of Massage Therapy as well as the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Additionally, David is a professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association. He attended Massage Therapy College of Baton Rouge, completing a rigorous 650 hour training program. David has extensive experience in both therapeutic massage and well as massage for relaxation. In addition to being trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue and Hot Stone massage techniques, David studied prenatal massage at the Ariana Institute in Austin, Texas. His philosophy on massage is that no two massages are alike. Each will vary and should be tailored to the client's individual needs and preferences.
